HOME AGAIN

A supportive community fostering self-confidence and self-esteem, aiming to help rebuilding social links

Location: San Francisco, California

Size: 10,067 SqFt (First Floor) / 2,980 SqFt patio

A former 2-story warehouse of San Francisco is converted into the first Home Again shelter.

The first floor hosts the community center, with administrative offices, as well as a business center for the residents, and communal and recreational spaces for the families. An open floor plan helps convey the feeling of inclusion and belonging to the residents. The participants benefits from counselors support to empower themselves and restart a professional life.

The second level is divided into 26 couple and family (3-4 people) apartments. Free dwelling offers some respite to the participating couples and families, a cozy and safe place to grow, and find a new way together.
